Partnership Agreement
On the evening of Wednesday, March 25, 2026, a partnership agreement was signed between the University of Health Sciences "Mujahid Dr. Youcef EL Khatib" and GSK (GlaxoSmithKline) laboratories at the university’s headquarters.
The agreement was signed by Professor Gharnaout Merzak, Rector of the University, and Mr. Noureddine Ioutichene, General Manager of GSK.
This strategic partnership aims to bolster cooperation in the fields of education, vocational training, and scientific research.
By synergizing the expertise of both institutions, the agreement seeks to enhance professional competencies and elevate the quality of pharmaceutical training and research.
The collaboration encompasses several pivotal academic and professional pillars:
- Student Internship & Mentorship: Facilitating the placement and supervision of Faculty of Pharmacy students during their professional training cycles within the company.
- Joint Academic Supervision: Collaborative oversight of graduation projects (theses) and specialized scientific research.
- Continuing Education: Organizing professional development programs and fostering the exchange of technical expertise.
- Innovation & Skill Development: Supporting innovation initiatives and enhancing both professional and administrative skill sets.
This agreement aspires to establish a sustainable bridge between academia and the industrial sector. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the university’s vice-rectors, the deans of the Faculties of Pharmacy, Medicine, and Dentistry, as well as senior academic staff and executives from GSK laboratories.
