Notice

To Students Preparing for Their Thesis Defenses

As part of the organization of thesis defenses, and in order to ensure appropriate conditions for the conduct of these defenses in an academic atmosphere befitting the university’s standing, as well as to guarantee respect for order and discipline on campus, all concerned students are required to adhere to the following:

01- Adhere to the scheduled time for the defense and arrive at the defense hall well in advance of the start time, while respecting the program set by the college administration.

02- Leave the defense hall immediately after the session ends, to allow for the smooth conduct of subsequent scheduled defenses.

03- Comply with the instructions of the administration, security personnel, and all staff responsible for organizing these events.

04- Limit the number of accompanying guests and invitees to a reasonable number, ensuring that calm is maintained within the college and that the normal course of the discussions is not disrupted.

05- Maintain proper conduct and respect all members of the university community, including professors, staff, students, and visitors, and avoid any behavior or speech that could undermine the institution’s integrity or violate public decency.

06- Bringing in or distributing sweets, refreshments, and meals is prohibited inside the examination rooms and their adjacent hallways; however, a bottle of mineral water may be brought in for the examinee and members of the examination committee as needed.

07- The use of celebratory items that may pose a danger to persons or property or cause a disturbance is prohibited, including firecrackers, fireworks, colored smoke, balloons filled with flammable materials, and other similar items.
