As part of efforts to promote a culture of quality and establish the principles of continuous improvement within the university, the Quality Assurance Unit at the University of Health Sciences Dr. Youssef Al-Khatib organized a training workshop titled:
“An Introduction to the Quality Approach at the University of Health Sciences and the Basic Guidelines of the International Standard ISO 9001:2015”
The opening of this workshop, held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in the Mohamed Nawas Lecture Hall at the College of Pharmacy, by Professor Laatifi Rachid, Deputy University Director in charge of pedagogy, in the presence of Professor Si Ahmed Jamila, head of the university’s Quality Assurance Unit, and Ms. Saoud Zahia, a member of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Unit
and supervisor of the workshop.
The workshop was attended by faculty members and staff from the Faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy. It addressed the fundamental concepts of quality methodology and the key guidelines of the ISO 9001:2015 international standard, highlighting their importance in improving institutional performance and enhancing the quality of university services.
The workshop lasted three days, from June 7 to 9, 2026, and served as a platform for training, exchanging experiences, and raising awareness of the importance of adopting quality management systems as an effective tool for achieving excellence and continuous improvement within higher education institutions.
