On the evening of Monday 29 June 2026, the Director of the University of Health Sciences, Dr Youssef Al-Khatib, Professor Gharnaout Marzak, in the discussion of a graduation thesis by a student from the Faculty of Pharmacy, which was presented in English. This took place as part of efforts to support academic training and encourage the use of English in higher education and scientific research, in line with international standards and to enhance the quality of university education.

The thesis addressed a research topic in the field of clinical pharmacy relating to the treatment of lung cancer, drawing on a multicentre study and clinical practice data, thereby reinforcing evidence-based practice and contributing to the improvement of the quality of healthcare

The Vice-Chancellor praised the outstanding academic standard demonstrated by the students, commending the efforts of the supervising lecturers and members of the examination board, and wishing the graduates every success in their academic and professional careers
