On the evening of Monday 6 July 2026, the Director of the University of Health Sciences, Dr Youssef Al-Khatib, Professor Gharnaout Marzak, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Bouali Faisal, presided over a ceremony to honour two resident doctors specialising in internal medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, Jihad Dina Amamri and Kholoud Ben Khedda, in recognition of their outstanding performance in the rheumatology finals of the International Young Talent Competition organised on the sidelines of the MIRCIM 2026 conference.

Resident doctor Jihad Dina Amamri came second, whilst resident doctor Kholoud Ben Khedda came third, in a commendable scientific achievement that reflects the outstanding calibre of resident doctors at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Health Sciences, and reaffirms the university’s standing in international scientific forums.

This honour recognises their efforts and encourages them to continue their academic careers, whilst reinforcing the culture of excellence and scientific research that the University of Health Sciences is committed to supporting and promoting.
