In a particularly festive atmosphere, the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Health Sciences hosted the graduation ceremony for Professor Abadi Mohamed Al-Cherif’s cohort of Doctor of Pharmacy students (2020–2026), in an academic and social event that combined celebrating the students’ success with honouring an outstanding academic and pedagogical career.

The ceremony was officially opened by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Professor Laatafi Rachid, on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Gharnaout Marzak, and the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Jijik Reda, in the presence of members of Professor Abadi Mohamed Al-Sharif’s family.

The ceremony was attended by the university’s deputy directors, the Secretary-General of the university, the deans of the faculties, and the commander of the regional brigade of the National Gendarmerie in El Abiar, alongside partners, administrative staff, lecturers, graduating students and their families, in a festive atmosphere that reflected the significance of this milestone in the graduates’ academic and professional journeys.

During the event, the top ten students in the cohort were honoured in recognition of their excellence and distinction, and graduation certificates were presented to all 300 students in the cohort, marking a special moment that crowned years of hard work, diligence and perseverance.

The ceremony also saw members of the administrative staff honoured in recognition of their efforts and contributions in supporting the students and ensuring the smooth running of their academic and administrative journey throughout their years of study.

In honour of the memory of Professor Abadi Mohamed Al-Sharif and in recognition of his academic and pedagogical contributions, the Immunology Teaching Laboratory has been named after him, ensuring that his name remains present within the Faculty of Pharmacy as a testament to his career and dedication, and as a symbol of the education of future generations.

On this occasion, the University of Health Sciences community extends its warmest congratulations to the graduates of the 2020–2026 cohort, wishing them every success in their academic and professional careers, and hoping they will be excellent ambassadors for their university, carrying forward the mission of pharmacy with competence and responsibility.
