To mark the start of the 2026–2027 academic year, the Simulation Centre at the University of Health Sciences, named after the martyr Dr Youssef Al-Khatib, is organising an open day on 23 and 24 September 2026 for all undergraduate and postgraduate students (residents), as well as lecturers, with the aim of introducing various pedagogical simulation techniques and showcasing the facilities and equipment available at the centre.
This open day will include an introduction to various types of simulation, such as:
🔹 procedural simulation;
🔹 low-fidelity simulation;
🔹 first aid techniques;
🔹 high-fidelity simulation;
🔹 digital simulation;
🔹 the virtual dissection table.
This event offers an opportunity to gain a first-hand understanding of the role of educational simulation in developing scientific and practical skills and enhancing the quality of training in the healthcare sector.
