Rectorate

The university presidency is the legislative and executive body of the university, operating under the authority of its president, who is responsible for the overall functioning of the university while respecting the powers of its other bodies. In this capacity, it undertakes the following duties and responsibilities:

 

Among the duties of the university president are:

Represents the university in court and in all matters of civil life;

Exercises peaceful authority over all university employees;

Concludes all transactions, agreements, contracts, and accords within the framework of applicable regulations;

The president delegates signing authority to the deans of faculties and the directors of institutes and annexes, as needed.

He takes all measures that would improve the university’s training and research activities, taking into account the powers of its other bodies.

He ensures compliance with the university’s internal regulations, drafting the proposed regulations and submitting them to the Board of Directors for approval.
